The God I Know

Ever since last night, I've been having a bad sore throat.. running abit of a fever now. ah must be cos of this weather.. so unpredictable..

Anyway..

This is what God has been telling me and I'm so blessed.:) I like! And I keep meditating on it, applying it into my life..:)

The perfect love of God casts out all fear..

We're never perfect, hence our love toward others is not always perfect.

When a friend proposed to his gf, his words left an impression.. "I'm not a perfect person...I can't guarantee you a perfect life with me, but I can guarantee you that I will love you all my life..."

We all have our imperfection, only He is perfect. In our relationships, there are times we let people down, people disappoint us, we let God down. we're limited in our strength to love... that's why we need more of Him in the center of our relationships, for our love to grow more perfect. And we are still learning =)

As the song goes,
The God I know, light of the city
The God I know, strengthens the weak
The God I know, is strong & mighty
as You are, so are we.."

1 Jn 4:17-18 "Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out all fear.."

When we place Him in the centre of all our relationships, we don't have to worry or fear about what will happen or has happened but we're assured that He's at work in all our lives.. perfecting our love for one another. Learning to show love like how He would.. live our lives like how He would. As He is, so are we.

And isn't that our ultimate aim, to become more and more like Him in person? :)
