Waking Up
Thursday, April 2, 2009 at 9:15 PM

It's 5.48am now. Just got home after Ed Hardy stocktake. I'm tidying up some stuff before hitting ZZZZZZZ button. Hehe.. speaking about ZZZZZing, yesterday morning I could hardly keep my eyes open during English class, so much so that Ms Mitchelle our lecturer said, "Carmen, wake up! Go stand at the back of the class.." Oops... In Ms Mitchelles view, she said that wasn't punishment. Just something she believes everyone should do to battle the ZZZ monster!!!

During leader's meeting on Tuesday, Pst Ken touched on the topic of tithe,. having the fear and honor. He cited an example during hollywood days... there were members who forgot to tithe or overspent before they could give their tithes for the month. Thus they didn't have money to tithe. And Pst Kong would come out with the money from his own pocket to give it on their behalf but they have to pay him when they have the money. Since then these people were never ever late in giving. On the other hand, there are those who only get their pay eg. for Jan, at the very last day which is Jan 31st. Becos it's a weekday, they'd have to make a trip all the way down to church office just to give their tithe, and they really do that. I see the contrast in attitudes..

I was really convicted that we should treat His Word seriously and He means what He says. Pst didn't scold them but he led by example: We need to treat the things of God seriously, even if it inconvenience us. We also need to show love, even if we have to inconvenience ourselves.

And so..

..it's a wake up call for all of us in every area... likewise for myself. I have to wake up to their needs.. even if i have to inconvenience myself just to meet that need promptly, it doesn't matter. What we sow in tears, will be eventually reaped with joy. Wake UP!!! gotta have more urgency.

My dreams will blossom...
